Delete your Sumlo account & data

Developer: Sumlo · App: Sumlo — personal budgeting

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time. There are two ways to do it.

Option 1 — In the app (fastest)

  1. Open Sumlo and go to the Profile tab.
  2. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.
  3. Confirm when prompted.

You are signed out on every device straight away, and your account is permanently deleted 24 hours later. Changed your mind? Sign back in within those 24 hours and tap Restore my account.

Option 2 — By email

If you can no longer sign in, email support@sumlo.app from the address associated with your account, with the subject "Sumlo account deletion request." We will verify ownership and complete the deletion manually.

What gets deleted

Timing & retention

Deletion takes effect 24 hours after you request it. Until then you can undo it by signing back in. After that, your account, all its data and any stored receipt images and profile photo are permanently deleted (normally within 15 minutes of the 24 hours ending) and cannot be recovered. We do not keep a copy, except for our security audit log, which records that the deletion happened without your account details, and where a longer period is required by law (e.g. tax or accounting records we are legally obliged to keep). Data downloads you made yourself are stored on your own device and are not affected — delete those manually.

Deleting your account does not cancel a Sumlo Pro subscription bought through Google Play or the App Store. Cancel it in the store as well.

For full details on what we collect and how we process it, see our Privacy Policy.
